Easter in Piracanga|De Paşti în Piracanga

[lang_en]In the last 6 years we spent Easter either with our families (3 times), either traveling and enjoying holidays with old or new friends (3 times).
Every time we were away from Romania we were prepared to have on the Easter lunch some of the Romanian traditional food, especially red eggs and “cozonac” – a sort of a sweet bread with raisins, nuts and cocoa.[/lang_en][lang_ro]În ultimii 6 ani am petrecut Paştile fie cu familiile noastre (de 3 ori), fie călătorind şi petrecând cu prieteni vechi sau noi (de 3 ori).
De fiecare dată când am fost departe de România ne-am pregătit în aşa fel încât ca la prânzul din ziua de Paşti să avem pe masă câteva preparate culinare tradiţionale româneşti, în special ouă roşii şi cozonac cu stafide, nuci şi cacao.[/lang_ro]

[lang_en]This year, for Easter we were enjoying a brunch at Casa Piracanga (owned by the French couple Didier and Sandrine) with our Romanian friends, Laura and Florian and their gorgeous Sasha, Olivia and Marcello, a beautiful mixed couple (Olivia is Spanish and Marcello is Brazilian), Olivia’s mum – Vallery – and 4 of Olivia’s friends that came from Spain, Sam and Liz, another beautiful mixed (Sam is Lebanese and Liz is American).[/lang_en]
[lang_ro]Anul ăsta, în ziua Învierii Domnului, ne-am bucurat de un brunch la Casa Piracanga (deţinută de cuplul francez Didier şi Sandrine) împreună cu prietenii noştri români, Laura şi Florian şi frumosul lor băiat Sasha, Olivia şi Marcello, un frumos cuplu mixt (Olivia e spanioloaică şi Marcello brazilian), mama Oliviei – Vallery – precum şi 4 prieteni de-ai Oliviei care au venit din Spania, Sam şi Liz, un alt frumos cuplu mixt (Sam e libanez şi Liz e americancă).[/lang_ro]

[lang_en]Every person/couple came with some traditional food of their own cuisine. Finally, the table was full of extremely good things.
We prepared the red eggs, fresh cheese, oriental salad, mayonnaise and a fruit cake.
Laura and Florian brought the famous Romanian eggplant salad, tomatoes salad and cozonac.
Sam and Liz cooked many chapati, baba ganoush and some sauce of many different herbs which was served on hot chapati.
Didier and Sandrine took care of the fresh home-made bread and also some sweet magdlennes.
The Spanish troupe came with some tortillas con patatas, gazpacho and toppings for gazpacho.[/lang_en]
[lang_ro]Fiecare persoană/cuplu a adus ceva mâncare tradiţională din bucătăria de origine. În cele din urmă masa a fost plină de mâncăruri extrem de bune.
Noi am pregătit ouăle roşii, brânză proaspătă, salată orientală, maioneză şi un tort de fructe.
Laura şi Florian au adus faimoasa salată de vinete, salată de tomate şi cozonac.
Sam şi Liz au făcut multe chapati, baba ganoush şi un sos din multe ierburi care ne-a fost servit pe chapati calde.
Didier şi Sandrine au avut de făcut pâine proaspătă dar şi nişte magdalene.
Trupa spaniolă a adus tortillas con patatas (un fel de omletă cu cartofi), gaspacho şi ceva topping pentru gaspacho.[/lang_ro]

[lang_en]The whole food was delicious and everybody enjoyed the tastes and flavors along with many smiles and nice discussions. Nadia and Sasha tasted almost all the food, of course in smaller quantity then their parents ;).

Of course we missed some other traditional food that we were not able to cook here, but we are hoping next year we will be together with our families and solve this tasting issue.

We hope that every one of you had an amazing time on Easter with the ones you love and cherish. For sure we did and we are very happy about it even if we are writing about it 3 weeks later. What can you do, time goes by at a different pace around here :P[/lang_en]

[lang_ro]Toată mâncarea a fost delicioasă şi toată lumea s-a bucurat de gusturile si savoarea acesteia alături de multe hăhăieli şi discuţii. Nadia şi Sasha au gustat aproape din fiecare mâncare, evident în cantităţi mai mici decât parinţii lor care s-au cam îndopat 😉

Bineînţeles că ne-au lipsit alte mâncăruri tradiţionale pe care nu am avut cum să le gătim aici, dar sperăm că la anul vom fi împreună cu familia şi vom rezolva această problemă.

Sperăm că fiecare dintre voi a avut parte de momente minunate alături de cei dragi de Paşti. Noi cu siguranţă ne-am simţit bine şi ne-a plăcut tare mult chiar dacă scriem despre asta 3 săptamâni mai târziu. Ce să-i faci, pe aici timpul se scurge cu alt ritm :-P[/lang_ro]
