Thank you Nicolae for the very nice photo session
39 weeks passed, ONE more to go
Theoretically, today it starts the last week of my pregnancy with Nadia. So, within this post I will share with you some of the thoughts and feelings I experienced during all this time. And because my memory suffered a bit, I will tell the story from the end to the beginning
I wish that all mammies could experience a magic pregnancy. We’ll keep you posted of what happens
Time is ticking away…
Month no.9 – The most AWESOME, MAGIC and EXTREMELY HAPPY month.
These are the words which describe this day. I feel happy I managed to take this pregnancy up to this point with such a positive attitude about what happened. It’s very funny to see each day your belly looking like a big beach ball behind the clothes. And not seeing anymore your entire feet when looking from top to bottom
Month no. 8 – Shopping and nesting moods
Indeed, this was the period when I went crazy and bought most of the the little things Nadia will use in the first months. It was great to buy things which made her little bed absolutely beautiful, to arrange her things in the dressing room and to nest our new home to be all right when Nadia comes. This month we also attended Ramona’s Lamaze class in order to learn more about babies. We totally recommend this training, because it gives you a full image of what pregnancy means and what you should do with the little one when is born.
Month no. 7 – Curious about Nadia’s evolution
Both me and Pedro were very curious to go to the doctor and see our little one. We could not wait to see her pretty and funny face, to hear her heartbeats and to find out how much weight she gain in the last weeks. The evolution was good in general with some little issues which were solved by Mrs. doctor. During this month we decided about her name, Nadia Teodora Dobrescu
Months no. 6 – 4 – Body changing and shopping mood…again
For these 3 months my belly started to grow and I was “forced”
to go shopping for some clothes. Pedro was not very happy about it, but finally he accepted the situation. Of course, for Nadia’s and her mammy sake
I also have to thank to all the mammies who offered me some of their clothes. I liked them a lot and thanks again
I guess that this month we asked Dragomirestii to be Nadia’s God parents and they accepted our proposal. Yupppiiiii
Months no. 3 – 2 – Getting used with the idea of having a baby
Because my belly was still a “six pack” I was thinking about Nadia more like an idea. There were no visible evidences that I am pregnant, so I can not say very much about this period, just that I was getting used with this idea. Meantime, the pregnancy sickness was a bit disturbing, so I was looking for some “treatments”. And the winner in my case was the fresh orange juice.
Month no. 1 – WE’RE GONNA HAVE A BABY!!!
Another, or the first Most AWESOME, MAGIC and EXTREMELY HAPPY month . We were totally happy about this and started to spread the good news to everybody. Of course, the happiness was on the edge also for our families and friends. So, we were high on the sky!!!
Some pictures with Dobrestii

Salutare tuturor,
Yuppiiii
Atata pentru moment.
Dreams and Hopes
We have many friends abroad, who are following our blog. So I decided to write the posts in English, so everybody who knows us can read what’s up in our lives.
I named this post, Dreams and Hopes, because lately, I am thinking about the new family me and Pedro will have in terms of Hopes and Dreams.
We know already we are expecting a girl and one of her first names will be Nadia
But that’s all. About how her life will be, what will we be offering her, where are we going to travel every year, how much will she cry or smile, how many hours will she sleep during the day and night and so on… we know NOTHING.
So, I am thinking only about what dreams we have for her and what are my hopes regarding our life together.
Some of our Dreams:
- to become a traveler as her parents are
- to smile all the time and be a friendly person
- both of us, to spend with her as much time as possible
- to take her in a most wonderful places and explore the things around her
- to love animals and nature in general
- to become all green from the grass around the house during the playing hours
- to eat with her entire body as often as she can. We love kids who are putting the food everywhere
- to ask Santa to bring her a bicycle
- to love music and bed time stories
Some of our Hopes:
- to agree in her way to travel around the world as soon as possible (without any “enforcement” from our side)
- to travel by caravan and see Romania, the whole Europe and maybe more
- to like to sleep, like her mum and dad do, especially in the morning
- to like to party, like her parents
- to like having guests in the house like we did since we met and moved in together
- to like sauna and swimming in the future pool also
- to get involved in all kind of activities with her colleagues and friends
- to be honest, responsible and reliable, but in the same time to be brave enough to try new things and challenges
I am sure Pedro have some other Hopes and Dreams to add here, so I am asking him, nicely
, to edit this post in the near future, so we have a complete list to show Nadia when she will be a real Missy
The future Mum
Later Edit: The future father has added some points to the Hopes & Dreams. I believe we’ll keep on adding up to some point
In urma cu 2 ani…
In acesti doi ani s-au intamplat multe, foarte multe lucruri extraordinare. Dintre ele:
- o nunta de exceptie pe care as mai face-o an de an:)
- o luna de miere: 4 saptamani fantastice prin Spania, Franta si Italia;
; si altul la Vasoaia in compania minunatei familii Don;
- 2 excursii in Estonia si tarile din jur ![]()
- o saptamana de miere in Barcelona, multumita sotului meu castigator;
- multe weekend-uri petrecute cu cortul in Vama;
- alte multe weekend-uri petrecute cu familiile, prietenii si colegii;
- multe evenimente fericite ale prietenilor, cununii, botezuri si alte cumetrii;
- o super vacanta in Asia, care ne-a descis apetitul pentru calatorii de nu s-a pomenit;
- un mega, super, tare concert U2 la Milano;
- ….
Dobrestii.ro is now re-launched!
Dear all,
We have been working quite hard in the past days/weeks to re-launch our site and here it is! Refreshed, a bit reorganized and after our vacation in Singapore will become 100% functional. Right now you’ll see that the pictures are not moved yet, most of the users were not imported from the old site and maybe some other small bugs.
A major difference is that we’ll start to post in Romanian too, depending on the topic/section/category etc.
As i don’t want to bore you anymore, please click on the RSS feeds link and stay in touch with our adventures in Singapore/Indonesia and not only
See ya!
Dobrestii
Our site will get refreshed soon !
Dear all,
Just wanted to say that we are working hard to restart our activity here and in the next weeks the site will be down for maintenance. Don’t worry, we’ll try to be as fast as possible and we hope you’ll like it when we come back
The comments are closed for this one as it will soon be gone (a change of hosting is also on our list).
We’ll wait for you to come back in about 2 weeks, see you then!

Life, life, life
Dear all,
We just got back from our usual dancing lessons and I’ll let myself make a break here
For those who don’t know yet we are taking dancing lessons here with a very nice couple of trainers, who are making us to work very hard and come back home really exhausted
But we don’t complain … we can’t complain, otherwise we’ll be kicked out of there
And besides that it’s a very good exercise for us as most of the times we are not making any sports or movement at least 9 hours/day at our jobs (ok, you’re right … we need to go to toilet from time to time).
Other than that we are quite fine, trying to buy a piece of land near Bucharest (you can find a map of it here ) and we’re struggling with everything that comes with that (if you bought something like this recently you should know
). Hopefully in two years we’ll manage to build a little house and move over there and trying then to build the “real” house
Ok don’t think about a palace now, but at least a small swimming pool for the sauna must be inside
Yes we are fully aware that you are waiting for pictures from the wedding and actually I am uploading some of them right now. With some luck at the end of this week you’ll have some things to see already and for sure we’ll announce all those we don’t have on RSS
See you soon!
Pedro
P.S. If we see some comments here we’ll write more often, so please help us get out of this shitty-lame-lazy mood we’re in for some time
Still alive ;-)
Hello dear all,
Yes, we are still alive, working like hell and not having too much free time. This is actually a pity and we are doing our best to correct it
Among many other usual things we are still sorting the 3800+ pictures from the wedding and the 5000+ pictures from our Honey Moon. This is because we don’t want to bore you anymore with our adventures (congratulations for those who managed to read everything while we were in the Honey Moon) and we’ll make it as easy and simple as possible.
Therefore stand by, it shouldn’t be long now until one of the next milestones -> online pictures
All the best for all of you!
Dobrestii
Welcome Home!
Hi guys,
After reading all your posts regularly and wondering if anybody else does this, but still appreciating the effort you put up for us, by writing almost every day, time has come to wish you a Merry Welcome Home!
I know you had a great honey-moon and coming home to dusty Bucharest and to your daily jobs is not something you wished for but sooner or later it was bound to happen.
We just wanted to let you know that we took great care of your apartment, we organized weekly gangbangs and the walls of your little’ol’home have seen lots of naked people. We also played with all your wedding gifts and tried on all your clothes. We smoked all your plants and drank all the booze we could find. Juts a heads up, don’t expect to find any food, booze, perfumes, clean clothes, living plants or unused tampons, when you get back.
Here’s for the second honey-moon, this time spent together with us, in Bora Bora ! Here Here !
Dana & Bob
PS. We already bought the tickets for Bora Bora by renting your apartment as a B&B for foreign gypsy students.
Last Tuesday and Wednesday of our wondefull honey-moon…
As my dear husband was telling you in his longest post, we did not like Rome very much. So that’s why yesterday and the day before we did not do many things. So, let me tell you what we did on Tuesday
Because the weather was not so good in the morning, we decided to go in the city and buy some stuff to eat (because we have a fridge in the room
) and this took us almost 3 hours. After we came back and had lunch we went to the pool and laid in the sun until there was not any sun on the sky
. In the evening we were at the bar and we had one BIG (maybe 2l) jug of beer during the rugby match Scotland – Romania. And that was all for Tuesday ![]()
